My first time turning Canary wood. Luck of the draw, I got a blank with end grain cracking. I struggled with it for the entire turn — pieces broke off, the bowl became a dish — but I managed to pull it out. CA glue to stabilize the cracks, sanded through the grits, and finished with friction polish and a food-safe hard wax.

Hard Central American wood. Stalled my bandsaw, cracked during hollowing, still spectacular.
